Training Objectives

• Enable safe and efficient scientific diving for archaeological research..
• Conduct non-invasive surveys and documentation of submerged sites.
• Apply site preservation and heritage protection principles.
• Support long-term research, conservation, and reporting.

Eligibility & Prerequisites

Archaeologists, historians, ASI / maritime heritage staff, research scholars.

Medical fitness for scientific diving.

Basic swimming and water confidence.

Academic orientation toward documentation over recovery.
